JOB SUMMARY

We aim to contract valued caretakers who will work with us long-term. We are seeking bright and energetic candidates for a dog walking position. The right candidate should have excellent communication skills, prior dog handling experience, and live within our service area of Glen Rock, Ridgewood, Wyckoff, and Midland Park, New Jersey. This is an excellent position for anyone looking for supplementary income. Our administrative staff takes care of all the behind-the-scenes work so you can focus on what really matters — caring for pets and enjoying the fresh air.

COMPENSATION

 $22-$34/hour depending on the number of walks assigned per day. This position is perfect for someone looking for supplemental income.

​RESPONSIBILITIES: 

We are seeking bright and energetic candidates for a dog walking position. The right candidate should have excellent communication skills, prior dog handling experience, and live within our service area of Glen Rock, Ridgewood, Wyckoff, and Midland Park, New Jersey. This is an excellent position for anyone looking for supplementary income. Our administrative staff takes care of all the behind-the-scenes work so you can focus on what really matters — caring for pets and enjoying the fresh air. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• Must be a minimum age of 25 years old. 

• Must have a reliable car with insurance, and driver’s license.

• Live within our service area of Glen Rock, Ridgewood, Wyckoff, and Midland Park, New Jersey.

• Be available on a consistent basis at least 3 weekdays per week 11am - 3pm. You can also add the 8am -11am shift and/or 3pm-8pm shift to your schedule. Our company offers service from 8am to 8pm 7 days per week, 365 days per year. An ideal candidate will be availability at least one weekend date per month and at least one major holiday per year. Holiday services pay an additional $25 per visit.

• Knowledge and skills in Animal Care, Pet Care, and Dog Behavior a plus

• Familiarity with Dog Training and the ability to manage dogs of various sizes and temperaments. Note: All dogs are met by the owner before joining our client list.

• Excellent Communication skills to engage effectively with pet owners and provide quality service

• Strong observational skills and attention to detail to ensure pet safety and well-being

• Reliable, punctual, and physically capable of handling active dogs over extended periods

• Have respect for our clients' homes as well as their pets. This is important.

• Passion for animals and a compassionate, patient attitude

• Must have a smaphone to access our pet care software

• Follow the client provided care instructions including training prefereon the clients’ schedules and when they need pet care.  We prefer you be available all of these days and all of these hours.  

• Be able to provide professional references.
